Judging how the hildibrand quests started off, it seems it MIGHT be a fate.

It most likely will be. If it is, it would be sweet if they added in an 8-man version. The wandering minstrel means they can do whatever they want really, I don't see why he wouldn't want to sing about a slightly exaggerated battle *hint hint*

Not really. After the 90k fiasco, it's obvious they're cutting down on instances. Hence FATEs for absolutely everything.

Well my point was mainly that it could easily not be a FATE since we have literally no information on the Big Bridge fight at all other than that it exists and we'll be fighting Gilga... but... okay...

I can't see it being a FATE... I mean, say you haven't even touched the Hildibrand quest yet, but you're walking across Highbridge; out pops Gilgamesh and Hildibrand for a FATE battle... Yeah... I don't see that happening...

Have they actually said we'll be fighting Gilgamesh in 2.2? Because I find it much more likely that he'll fight Hildibrand in a cutscene and we'll just be left watching, dumbstruck.
