    With Coil 1-5 being no weekly lockout ( and having the better loot than CT) wouldn't be logical to remove CT loot lockout as well? Because if it stays the same for CT no one will do CT because Coil 1-5 has no restrictions.

    First off not everyone will have enough gear for Coil, fresh 50s will have to do dungeons and CT before they have enough gear for coil.

    And it's likely still going to be 1 drop per week, same as CT. So it will still take many weeks to get all the coil drops.

    And there will be a new tomestone token that will get you better gear than coil anyway.

    And people will still do CT for vanity sets.

    And the list goes on.

    They won't be putting a cap on how much gear you can get from Coil/week, as there isn't one now.
    You can do turns 1-5 and get every single drop.

    I'm not certain how they're going to deal with the issue of CT suddenly becoming obsolete as a result of T1-T5 being more available now.

    A smart solution would be to release a third tier of gear that is above both Coil T1-T5 and CT gear, that requires both.

    For example: AF2 BLM Body - requires Wizard's body, sorcerer's body, Crimson Body, Allagan body of casting + new allagan tomestone currency - you get an i-lvl 100 AF2 Body as a reward. Allagan t6-t9 drops can be i-lvl 105.

    Its a good way of tying all content together and making nothing obsolete, while still allowing progression and at the same time eliminating the isolation of newer players. As veteran, even hardcore players, will need to go back to old content to advance.

    If they are removing Coil lock out (T1-5) then is makes sense to assume they are removing the cap on all old content

    No more CT cap, Myth cap and EX primal cap

    +1 All your relics, Max out all your myth, Farm Coil to the ground. All jobs i90 with Allagan weapon and go ham on T6 coil and Levi

    Basically

    Edit: I believe they are releasing a new Relic set (that can be purchased with a new currency similar to myth/philo) same concept as we have now with Myth gear and allagan gear

    The only way for SE to handle it is to raise ilvl requirements for all content. Its not like it would be hard to do, It will just take players a lil bit more time to gear up which they should be doing anyways. They don't need to adjust the difficulty of content just make the ilvl higher.
