Whilst I understand the reasoning that SMNs shouldn't get a new skill if the other jobs don't it's not quite that cut and dry. The SMN can only ever have one egi summoned and they do not change on the fly (typically). If anything getting a new egi like Leviathan at 55 to use INSTEAD of another when all the other jobs get a new skill to use in ADDITION to their others would be unfair on the SMNs...

Maybe I would feel different if they bothered to balance them so we have more reason to use anything other than Garuda...

More reason for us not to get Leviathan-egi in 2.2 in my opinion. I'd rather they not rush it out and balance it terribly...

Also, Titan-egi is plenty useful. All Ifrit-egi needs is the animation delay to be fixed and Crimson Cyclone to be changed to a dash attack rather than Stun. Then he is the best for short term burst damage, Garuda-egi is best for long term dot, and Titan-egi is best for solo/tanking.

I'm honestly more interested in knowing what role Leviathan-egi would fill, rather than when we'll be getting him... I'm guessing Healer support; a combined Regen ability (regens HP/MP/TP) and an ability that boosts healing potency, and two direct damage abilities. Then he is useful for any situation where healing is vital, though not completely losing DPS value. Ramuh-egi I imagine to be a DPS support with similar abilities (useful for DPS checks like heart phase) and Shiva-egi an enfeebler.
