I'm not defending the game, I'm just pointing out some logic fallacies there. SE's flagship titles are all funded with their own money. And jump would be a great addition to this game.

You really aren't showing anything, SE has been posting loses for awhile, hence why they merged with Enix. FF Spirits within, read up on how much that travesty of a movie costed them. Yet they are still around, still making games. So saying they are posting financial loses doesn't mean shit. The problem is they trying to make mmos that are archaic, and partly they do this to fight botters and gil sellers, and the output, is a pile of shit. Make the game fun for you players, make it playable, drop your personal vendetta against bots, because the product is fun for NO ONE!
Oh?
Well I know SE likes to supervise all our actions, but i'm pretty sure massively multiplayer online games have a track record of letting people jump. It's not like the fact that FFXIV being a MMO dictates that it be deprived of basic features.
I'm speaking more along the lines of latency..
i unno its just my hopes are not high....i have loved square squaresoft and even a few from square enix and i DO love this company but with money issues a seemingly slower game even after auto attack (havent had hands on time der) im starting to doubt them...and with e3's lineup of awesome games coming out and new stuff...im not willing to pay even for a while...but i will say that the battle system hasnt changed much from what i see just because you can auto attack and stamina is gone doesnt mean major changed to the battle system were made....like i said havent had hands on derp....but from video i see minor differences and this along with .19 and .20 we were expecting a 180 but looks almost like a 360 in gameplay so i am just worried especially with a massive loss outta their pocket i dont see development picking up
Every time a XIV character jumps god empties his wallet into SE's savings account...apparantly.
another thread about jumping in FFXIV, like we didn't have enough of those allready.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

Oh boy, new threads are going to start up again. The developers also want players to have more control over their character and a larger variety of experiences in the game, which explains the inclusion of a jump button (the first in the numbered FINAL FANTASY series’ long history), which can be used to find hidden chests. Abilities will be gained throughout the game which will further allow exploration, making you return to areas you’ve visited before to see if your new skills can give you access to hidden areas and items.Originally Posted by Elexia - 06-07-2011 08:25 PM
While ignoring the fact it has a use in that game compared to this game with no use for such0123456789from game informer "Square-Enix recently posted a fiscal profit loss of 12 billion yen (roughly $150,000,000 US dollars), with ceo yoichi wada stating, "our game development has become weaker than expected."
that being said how bad will that effect this game.....MAJORLY....
a massive blow in stock/money and just development i dont see this going anywhere anymore.... also stated was this...
in ffxiii-2 there will be jump
"In previous final fantasy titles, leaping has usually been reserved for context-sensitive situations. The cast of FF XIII-2 removes its figurative lead boots and is finally endowed with the ability to jump. it may be a minor addition compared to other great things being incorporated into FFXIII-2, but jumping when you want JUST FEELS RIGHT."
listen i saw the video of auto attack this game is still slow and with their money dropping majorly i dont see development picking up....this is a warning for the faithful....as starfox 64 said "Good Luck!"

This has no affect on FFXIV. The financial loses were incured because SE had to remove "Planned Income" from their financial report as they dropped support and development for quite a few games.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
