I don't think that you can safely define Hybrid inside of this game when there are currently no Hybrid characters or clear communications regarding what a Hybrid will be. A BRD is clearly defined as a DPS, currently.

Hybrids in this game are basically simple 1 of the 3 trinity but with Support skills that benefits the party.

Bard is DD but he get all DD skills from Archer while having Support skills from bard Skills.

Ugh that's why this post is regarding the Famitsu interview, where yoshi stated the game will have Hybrid classes to have 2 tanks 2 healers 2 dps and 2 hybrids.
