These casuals don't even know what Old E looks like

AMEN! Back in my day, we used to buy 40s by the case. 20 40ozs cost $20. Then we would duck tape them to our hands and play Edward 40hands. These casuals have no idea how us hardcore 40 drinkers used to do it. Except instead of leet gear, I have irreversible liver damage. GET ON MY LEVEL!
Funny thing is much about what you wrote can be applied to FFXI to an even greater scale. FFXI was a great game...but it doesn't sound like it would be the game you're looking for in the present. Honestly though, why write you're going leave? I doubt anyone here really cares if you leave or stay.

Actually, I don't care what the players think about my post or us playing FFXI. I am hoping that if SE and the developers see enough posts like this they will fix the damn game. We are playing FFXI for many reasons and we do realize it was made much easier.Funny thing is much about what you wrote can be applied to FFXI to an even greater scale. They won't "fix" the game. It caters to a different kind of players. If you think it's shit, that's fine. But don't say it like it's an ultimatum. I have plenty of friends who think it's shit and are playing XI. I for one enjoy XIV. Been playing it since 1.0 and continue to. It's all a matter of tastes. Asking them to fix this game is like asking them to fix rock music because you don't like it.

What you may call "needs to be fixed" others see as ok or great in their book. Just because you and your FC don't like the way this game is coming along doesn't mean it failed, just means it wasn't for you, which is too bad (i guess) and i hope FFXI will be more of the game you're looking for (which i highly doubt since it's basically the same exact thing now).
