If you think 'nothing is worth much a it will be erased' then why care for drops at all? RNG keeps players. Give an entire party 13 drops every 5 weeks? Gonna see lots of people, at end game, dropping after their initial 5. Heck, i know people that have not even touched EM as they were 'done' before 2.1. (Not BiS but no reason/want to aquire such)
Perhaps resources are best spent creating a game where 'best' gear isn't attainable with virtually 0 effort, whilst commending those that put in the effort. S.E can't handle industry standards, despite acknowledging and attempting to embrace it. 4 bosses this tier? I'm of firm belief people are sticking around because A) They've experienced a tier upgrade and expect similar. Or B) No idea what happens with a new tier (quite a few from my experience as a bulk of the population is XI).
