    I agree that each job should have it's own LB animation, though if you've seen the healer LBs you know they're already made with WHM in mind, with the first being a healing wind and the second is like... protective earth or something. It'd be nice to have SCH specific ones though.

    Also I would love for Bard to have a buff/debuff LB, or just give it a caster-equivalent dps LB and call it a day.

    Aside from that I think they should remain completely identical within their type as they are now. Not even the smallest difference, because we all know what would happen.

    While I personally don't mind the Omnislash LB animation on my DRG, it does seem out of place. I mean where did a buster sword even come from? I get it's probably just pandering to FF7 fans (which again, I don't really mind that much since I loved the game), but it just feels awkward and weird on a DRG, and even more so on a Monk.

    If I wanted to do an LB with a giant sword, I would have rolled a class that uses a giant sword. Except we don't have one of those.

    You see my dilemma.

    The idea is nice but I like it the way it is. Do you really want people locking say SMN out of a fight because the Meteor LB is better than theirs? Or keeping a slot just for MNK because it's better than the DRG LB? Thinking about what LB your fight needs is quite important, I mean I'd never do Titan extreme for example without the Meteor LB available. Not that it's impossible without, it just makes things smoother on a fight which is already difficult to PUG.

    My friends and I have talked about having 2 limit breaks per class, a support and dps based one. You set it before you enter a dng and can only change it when you're not in a dungeon/battle if you're doing fates in a zone. Also, I think healer LB3 should raise you without sickness.

    I actually made a post about this subject too. I hate seeing my summoner magically spawn a staff for their limit break, and the same with my scholar.

    Paladin - a shield is displayed in front on everyone
    Warrior - party members are encased in glowing skin
    Monk- instead of it looking Like a sword, have clones come out to pummel the target
    Dragoon - drive their lance into the ground, causing a much larger one to shoot up through the target
    Black Mage - stays the same
    Summoner - summon a massive primal, not one used or fought, to hurl a fire ball (or some other element/magic) at the AOE target
    White Mage - stays the same
    Scholar - summons an army of fairies to heal and raise
    Bard - this one I want big changes to. Instead of the healing LB it currently does, change it so the bard sings a special song that increases the party's stats by 50% for 10 seconds. OR have a ballista spawn in front of them that they use on a single target.

    If i cant move from LB lock i shouldnt be able to get knocked off the ledge in titan.
    Personally from my view in endgame content LB usually get you killed.

    To stay on your theme of where only the animations change and not the end result. I'd say have BRD shoot an white glowing arrow into the sky, clouds part, light rays shine through on dead bodies and they get raised.

    The LB's are a group effort, not an individual thing. It's a group building process, and a single individual using the groups effort. I do like DBthaOne's suggestion though, keep the end resulting effects the same but allow each job to bring their own flair to it.

    Edit:
    As for usefulness of each, this is how I see it:

    Tank LB - PLD/WAR - I've only recently used this consistently...on a single fight and that would be Ultiama hard mode for the last set of glowing plasma balls. Outside of that? Umm...I think I used it once with a Ifirit hard mode fight where the party had an issue downing all the nails? When I learned about Ultima's strat included a tank limit break I was over the moon. You mean I can actually use the LB? /faints

    Melee DPS LB - MNK/DRG - Used for single target boss and probably the one used the most...by a long shot.

    Magic DPS LB - BLM/SMN - Used for multi-target, or if you don't have a melee DPS in your party. Probably the second most used LB.

    Healer LB - WHM/SCH/BRD - I've seen this one used more than the tank LB but that's not saying much, it rarely gets used and when it does, things have hit the fan...in a bad way. I have though seen this used successfully to prevent what looked like a wipe fully recover.
