It's a Final Fantasy story with characters you don't care about or good development, crappy voice acting, and immense filler!

A) The story BARELY just started. We know there are at least FOURTEEN legates in the Garlean army, we killed two of them. We have barely gotten to the second page and you're going to say it sucks? EVE online has been around from almost 10 years and there is still a MAJOR political empire in that game that no one has any idea about, they have been there since the BEGINNING.
B) Nothing in this plot is black and white, it only seems like that on the surface. If you're barely paying attention to the story, then of course you're going to think it's black and white. Primals, Garleans, and Ascians are bad, GC and Scions are good. However, that is not the case. The GC leaders HAVE made questionable decisions that put their approval ratings quite low. This is called realism. Y'shtola herself even says that the RIGHT thing to do would be to let Titan destroy Limsa for what Merlwyb allowed to happen.

Playing since the start of 1.0 these characters have barely done anything. It's time to move on, that's all I can really say. I have no interest in these characters anymore.
The Hildibrand quests have been far more entertaining, it's a real shame they are so short.

You may not, but there are plenty others populating the game who do care about these characters and want to see more done with them. Especially since new ones were introduced after the 1.0~ era of the game. Adding even more new characters, sure go right ahead, that'd be awesome. But don't just throw the ones we have to the wayside, they all still have much more that could be done with them.
My interest has never wavered from what became of Alisaie and her adventures which did not tie in with Alphinauds ideals!
During the very early stages of the story she departs and is left to her own devices in saving the realm.
We know she is attempting to follow her grandfathers' footsteps towards a better Eorzea, but has a different path to follow than her twin.
He acknowledges this confirming their goal the same, but her presence is almost entirely removed from the game.
What was she doing, plotting and planning to protect Eorzea that was less strategically important as crushing primal beasts and thwarting the Ascians?
Perhaps she was fighting the Ascians on a different battlefield?
These are the questions I would like addressed!
(I could be entirely wrong and bad at searching forums for answers, but hey-ho, there's nothing like making a fool of yourself online)
I hope they keep the recurring theme of dead bodies and food bribing if they make a new cast of characters.

This is at least partially answered in the Binding Coil of Bahamut, but there's still a lot that isn't answered about what Alisaie has been doing
If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die... I must simply laugh

Calling it right now, if one of them turns out to be evil. One will kill themselves to kill the other. That usual dumb twin death thing.
i don't think the story is /that/ bad, i think it's definitely comparable with ffxi and i'm through everything except adoulin storywise. i feel like people might be a little too attached to that old thing.
anyway i just wanted to say that the grand company leaders will always stand on a hillside of any major battle, it makes no sense to lose the main leader of a grand company. that's absolutely ridiculous, if they died there'd be an enormous loss of morale and the entire grand company would fall apart, they're just too valuable. especially considering kan-e-senna's value to the overall plot, with her looking into solutions for tempering.
