Please stop demanding removal/rework of Vote Abandon

If they Afk then kick them, if that vote fails but a vote dismiss passes then people simply want to give up. Again blaming the system in a situation where everyone made an independent choice.

Still not seeing an argument against vote dismiss that doesn't amount to "force people to play with me please se". It's pure majority rules.

I saw it for the first time today and for the most part i don't dis like it or like it what happ to me? a healer and her buddy were doing runs well the healer can't seem to keep up with the healing they keep leting everyone die Mind you we are on the second boss so the healer says lets Abandon at first i was thinking so there quiting as i'm asking boom i see the screen i vote no but the healer and there buddy must of vote yes as the other guy was saying no and boom the duty ends. Was it fair? no but did it bug me that much eh a bit. So yes i do think they need to work on it but it's not a bad thing to have

I'm not seeing an issue with vote abandon at all. Even as a person who has often fought EX primals over and over to the bitter end, I can't find fault with it. If the majority of the group wants to leave then that's that. It's done.

I feel like what people are asking for is to be able to hold the party hostage just because they want to stay. How is that fair? Vote abandon is a simple majority rules and in reality that's pretty much as fair as it gets. Even if you feel that people often give up too easily, it's not your decision to say that your values are more important than theirs.

And that is why some players are suggesting that the players that pick "no" can stay behind in the group and wait for the group to fill up. They want to continue so let them they're not forcing their ideals on you anymore if you the person that picked yes gets to leave the instance while they get to stay behind because they picked no.

Here's why that isn't going to happen. In a 4 man if the vote passes a maximum of 1 person stays, which is basically a requeue. 3 in a 8 man, and 11 in an alliance. The queue for replacement would be massive if everyone could do this, and whoever is left would just peel off since they no longer have penalty.

If you just turn it into a who wants to leave button then you just gave them a leave without penalty button. In either case we are back to more whine threads on the forum because really what Reyno said was true. This is a game of teamwork but you don't want to follow majority decisions.

last night i queue for labyrinth of ancients for almost 80 mins as a dps we have a swift run on all bosses, then on the last boss someone initiate vote to abandon then suddenly they agree, i dont get it because they didnt even state the reason why they want to abandon the duty and as a dps i que for 80 mins.. is this what abandon duty for?

If the majority agrees, it's just the bad luck of the people you got placed with. If it's about dps queue times, there are other threads going on about that... :P

I think it's a fair feature. Sure, there are some people going to spam it when things don't go their way. If the vote doesn't go through and they keep at it, use a vote/dismiss them for harassment, because that's what it is. Votes should only be allowed to be made every so often. Perhaps one thing they could do to improve it is that if you do a vote dismiss or a vote abandon and it fails, that there is some kind of cooldown before you can use one again. There is a cooldown if it goes through, so perhaps there should be the same if it doesn't.
