Sorry, but after people wipe 3 or four times for not doing what they should- they should either confirm they understand or ask questions to figure out what they need to do.

Silence and failure is NOT okay.

When someone tells me how to do an encounter and I fail for whatever reason, either I acknowledge what I did wrong - so they know I do understand what I need to do- or I ask what I did wrong, if I don't get why I died.

PS Siren is all about the healer- so if people don't listen, the healer gets the shaft and the group dies. I can't stand this instance.

Trying to hide your inexperience when you have someone willing to help out is beyond stupid.

Although there could be other reasons for the silence, such as: limited access to keyboard/input device, language barrier, etc...

Personally, I don't think you did anything wrong. Your tone might come across as irritating/condesending when you told someone specifically if he/she knew how to do their job. Other than that, you done everything you reasonably could.

If you ask me, if it is not the healer that's at fault (e.g. couldn't keep up) at Siren but instead it was the party. Then chances are you won't finish Siren regardless how hard you try.

Defeating Siren is 50% healer and 50% raid's effort. Do your job but missing the raid's help would still be a failure. So cheer up and simply accept that nobody is perfect in the eyes of DF.

Yup, good-bye healer, and we can wait for another one to get free myth. You taught them and explained to them how to do the fight, they got a couple of round experience learning the fight, and then they gave the next healer free myth.

I guarantee that group didn't clear the dungeon, regardless of your misguided wishful thinking.

They abused the votekick feature, plain and simple. Whatever your feelings on how many "pleases" and emoticons OP should have used the fourth time he tried to explain the fight to people who apparently could have been replaced with sacks of potatoes, you can't votekick harassment because someone wanted you to acknowledge the words on your screen before getting them killed with another blind facepull.

OP sounds more polite and patient than most of the people I've played with unless he's lying or misrepresenting something.

I just have to repeat, maybe this thinly veiled contempt is the issue. If you really dislike playing with unskilled players so much then don't use duty finder. I think it's kind of obvious that the OP really doesn't like groups like this, I mean even look at the subtext as he describes his most recent dungeon run, the one where he didn't explain anything on purpose. Does it seem like he enjoyed that run?

If you're doing something you dislike, with a bunch of players you dislike,then you're probably going to come off sounding like a jerk, because you're making yourself unhappy for no reason.

When someone isn't doing their job and won't even respond to being asked a basic question (do you understand what's going on / do you know what your job is) with even a yes I got it or no can you help me out they are in the wrong. Go play a single player game if you act like this. Very frustrating. I play on PS3 and even get my ass out of my chair to go grab my keyboard and respond if I need to. THAT is being respectful, not ignoring people when you are causing wipes.

The poster stated they explained each fight, which is unfortunately more effort then many players put into a dungeon. Somehow I am lost as to how asking questions of players failing to do a job you have explained is "poor communication". Especially if they are new to the dungeon. Unless he is lying, he was the communication and they chose to ignore him.

Bravo, OP. I do the same on my warrior. Clear, concise instructions, no insults, just to get the job done. I don't normally suffer any wrath from it though. Sure you can sugarcoat words, but the message is the same. Person A needs to do this so we can win.. not a hard concept.

I think its safe to say that you will sometimes get with 3 other people that just WONT get a long or listen to one another. Happens in real life all the time
