But FFXI didn't have to rebuild the ENTIRE game and servers and everything else under the sun for the either of it's first two expansions. The truth of the matter is the that FFXIV was a flop and then had to start over. So they had to rebuild the game and couldn't focus on that much new content.

Final Fantasy XIV release date: September 30, 2010 - November 11, 2012 [25 months]
Final Fantasy XIV ARR release date:August 27, 2013. [35 Months] + the 5 months it has been live for total of 40 MONTHS!

FFXIV ARR has been out for a total of 5 months and change. Since it was rebuilt from scratch and the original content was scrapped and redeveloped, the original version does not count. For all intents and purposes, they are virtually seperate titles. Underlining and using bold wont change that.

It is NOT fair to say that the game ought to have 2 expansions worth of content compared to an MMO that's been out for 3 years, because FFXIV ARR hasn't been out for 3 years. THEY STARTED OVER. It's simply NOT POSSIBLE for them to have developed as much content as an MMO that's been out several times as long as FFXIV ARR.

Devs dont care, i cant wait til other mmo come out and phase this game out. Its their fault if the game fails, not ours.
