Well I like the speed of the auto-attack because it gives rooms for buffs liek haste and multiple-hits to come into play. Also there might be different speed depending on weapon like in FFXI.

What I am saying is that 1 sec auto-attack is way too fast when you take into consideration that there will be haste spells and multi-hit.. like try to fit a 4 hits animation with a 50% haste buff so that's like 4 hits in .5 sec? way too glitchy, I'd rather have slower base auto-attack. Also, the abilities used resets the auto-attack I think in the video.

Has anyone on the Development Team confirmed that they are implementing Haste and/or Multi-hit weapons? I was under the working assumption that those thing were not going to be in the game.

If they will be, then 3-second auto-attacks are a good base. If there won't be, that means 3-second auto-attack is the ceiling of how fast you can attack in the game, which I believe to be too slow.

"Multiple attacks during auto-attack is also being planned for the future."
That could mean multiple thing's but I would shoot for something similar to double-attack or even retaliation type effects.
If the speed of battle is too fast, there won't be enough spare time to incorporate ability's such as the before mentioned

    This^

All of this is arbitrary honestly... It doesn't matter if you attack once every 10 seconds if you're then given 10 seconds worth of TP, or if you attack every 1 second and only given 1 seconds worth of tp.

The person I quoted outlined perfectly why the base auto attack speed MUST be slower than what everyone wants. Otherwise Haste effects become useless, and why the Devs will not place the speed so low to begin with.

And someone was asking whether multi hit weapons were going to be implemented, there is a dev post somewhere mentioning that matsui was interested in adding these, and I would be willing to bet Haste will be a spell regardless of whether there's a stam bar/auto attack or not.
