    Fireball does ~12,000 damage split amongst targets.

    It depends somewhat on how low you're comfortable with people getting.

    I haven't even tried turn five yet, but the various guides I've read and videos I've watched recommend at least 4k HP.

    I know its been done at around 3900, possibly less that I might not be aware of. I think anything 4000+ is solid. My first attempts were at slightly more than 4k and I never died to it.

    It's doable with just over 4k depending on your physical defense. As in, with left side mostly i70 and about 4500hp (all points in VIT + buffs) I still got killed by 3-stack Fireball about half the time, with Stoneskin and Galvanize on. With each piece of left-side i90 I bought, my survival rate went up. With full i90 and about 4200hp (no points in VIT + buffs) I don't die anymore, but survive with around 300-800hp.

    I thought it was Magical defense that mitigated Fireball damage?

    We used to do this strat at one point and our 3 stack of people needed at least 4k hp~ to survive. Especially if OT is pally and Stoneskin's members up. As well as succor up.

    Yes, it's magical damage. You can test this with Manaward.

    I did it with 3.8k hp.. I had to mitigate every single fireball with succor and sacred soil. but I usually got one shotted by divebombs if I got hit
