It just plain sucks, especially for Japanese worlds. I am from a Japanese world. I tested as a DPS and queued for CT in only the English language. After 90 minutes, I just gave up. It is ridiculous.

If you queue as a DPS with both Jap and Eng on, the standard average lead time is about 60 minutes.

Compound the waitiing time the general "rage leave" behavior that is seen, more often then not, you get people spending more time waiting for content then actually doing content.

Also the ease with people can just leave a group is being extremely abused. Making it easier for people to do whatever they like without consequences. I mean, when a playesr chooses DF, they knows what are getting themselves into. Such behavior reminds me of a child that want to keep his cake and eat it.

Add to the fact, that most content in in dungeons and trials, with the world mostly vacant after lvl 50, is an extremely long constant boring waiting.

Even healers (my main) are not spared from this long waits (although way shorter), which short burst of play time. It reminds me of Army, where one "Waits to rush, and rush to wait".

Worst yet is the Ilvl requirements for DF that seriously do not match the realistic requires to clear content. I am sure if you are a perfect player with perfect rotation, that is not a problem. But to bank of perfection from humanity is really fail.

Lastly, all this segregation between Data Centers is painful and not well done. I find it ridiculous when the top 2 Eng Servers in Asia, are placed separately in different Data Center. I mean, come on, is SE really trying to segregate the English population? Their population mapping is not the best and is really bad for players.

Thus combining all the above together, it just plain kills the game, still more and more people find other better integrated games to play.


Also Please do not talk about PT. It is a pool of "Jp Only" and "Cleared Only" parties that is sadly not helpful, especially for people trying to clear and.or new.

Well the solution to your problem would be transfer to an English server.

In all fairness (and not in an attacking way) it's no one's fault but your own. The 2 "unofficial" english servers in the JP clusters aren't at fault. The players that decided to play on there accepted it when they decided to play there.

Your best bet is to transfer and use a VPN service. The alternatives? Stay with what you are doing and hope SE changes something ( you'll be waiting a very very long time). Or play another game I guess.

VPNs can only help optimize routes. They can't magically negate several thousand miles of distance.

playing with <235ms from the philippines is more than fine.

playing in an asian region expecting english is silly as there is no "official" english servers for the region only option is to switch over to NA/EU

The "unofficial" server? The choice is clear where people are going to play on a "lag and die" driven game. I know most Americans don't know this but, there are other countries that speak English, like Australia, whose nearest data center is in Japan. SE has never advertise any server as anything but a regional server, not a language server. No one is playing on Masamune "unofficially". In fact when this was 1.0 all servers were in Japan and Masamune was full of EN players. When the split came SE did not tell people "if you don't speak Japanese don't use Japan Data centers", we were to use the ones that were closer to our homes. So please stop with the "It's your fault for playing on a Japan server, even though you live there/near there."
