So... no job system mentioned in his "rough sketch", do we have to wait until 1.20? Sigh. As cool as the new animations and auto-attack are, I haven't logged in for like 2 weeks now and with the delay of the patch/potentially underwhelming patch, I likely won't all summer.

I wouldn't worry about it, and I doubt that Square Enix will either, until they get it to a point where they think they can make money off you each month. Probably a lot better for them if everyone leaves so they don't get told that it is unfinished, or looks rubbish, or "how does Current X work in the new system?"

I actually logged in non-stop before the changes to the battle system where properly announced, rather than just thought about - now I'm just waiting for them rather than play the game, I might even hold off until the 'relaunch' so as to get the proper experience rather than in bumpy bits and pieces.

I'm looking forward to the future of the game, liking the look of the animations etc (even if I'm 'meh' on auto-attack, as long as I can kill stuff I don't really care much, though glad it isn't a pointless auto-attack like Rift, or an overkill one like Final Fantasy XI, both of which I currently am playing) and basically have the game on my mind, keeping tabs on it. It definitely wont be the game I originally wanted/hoped for, but we shall see what happens.

Also, I want that Gladiator gear...hopefully it is a somewhat 'basic' set when the new gear and rulesets are applied.
