I remember Odin kept saying he could be a god but chose yo be mortal. Chances are, he might actually be the thirteenth god, but pass off that chance.

But can one assume that he was a god like prior to him turning his blade on Urth? But I think my lack of knowledge of who exactly Urth is/was belays a clue to Odin.
But as Evane stated maybe Urth name is the only clue you need. Urth perdicted him rising to god hood out of fear of loosing what he held dear in mortality he slayed Urth and in turn became a "god" specifically falling into a Oedipus cycle.

I don't think that's him proclaiming god-hood, though. It feels more like giving anyone who encounters him a 'worthy opponent' type vibe.

"Alot" is not a word. Allot is but it's unlikely to be what you want, try "A lot".

It's a slight stretch, but "Urth" as a name seems like it'd be most likely to belong to a Keeper-of-the-Moon woman.

Here's an old Odin thread I started. I'm not sure if this'll answer any people's questions, but it's got most of the information we currently know about Odin, as well as speculation.
