I don't mind the coil restriction... although it should be loot based per boss.
I don't see the point to restrict CT, since it isn't end game... and there's no reason token farm gear should be equivalent to end game gear. It should be a little lower ilevel and not restricted.
The design is off. It makes sense you can farm up starting raid gear to gear up your jobs... raid dropped gear should be better. Raid prep gear shouldn't be locked, but the highest end game gear should be.
Casuals would have lots to do farming the good (not best) gear and hard cores could gear out jobs for raid entry that way.. but you still have limits on the amount of the best gear that enters the game.
myth cap too high as it is
Come on man are you serious ? Every paying customer has the option to create alternate characters. If everyone created a new character for each job class they could run CT and BC on each toon every week allowing them to get every item drop. SE way of allowing you to change your job class by changing your weapon slot.. causes a weekly lock out on CT and BC.
Do you see how asinine your comment is? The game don't end based on having the highest level gear.. it ends with people quitting their subscriptions because they are freaking tired of having to wait 7 days for the next week to reset.
It goes both ways, alot of people would cap out way too fast then be done with the game.
It's a lose/lose situation, if they don't add gates they can't make content as fast as people breeze through it, if they do add caps, people might give up, not wanting to wait.
The best solution (for the short term at least) seems infinite replayability content, such as PvP, mini-games, etc. & content that is less vertical, relying on all brances of content to be viable.
Every player is more than welcomed to create an alternative character, the armory system does not make it so that you have multiple characters under a single IGN, it merely allows you to have multiple classes under a single IGN, as such, weekly lockouts naturally applies to the character and not the class. If you're impatient or indecisive and would like to gear up all 8 classes simultaneously, you're always welcomed to create different characters as you've mentioned but it ultimately does not change the purpose and design of the armory system.Come on man are you serious ? There is absolutely no indication to believe that players are quitting because they can't gear up with Myth gear fast enough.
Even if there was no Myth cap, players will still quit, players will still complain that there is 'nothing to do' it doesn't solve anything.
Myth gears are an alternative form of end-game gear, they're not an entry-level gear and by having players able to attain full iLvl90 within 1 single day of playing is utterly ridiculous IMO, I'm not sure who would want such a thing other than the stereotypical american kids who wants everything right now.

If the intent of the Armory system wasn't to gear up all classes at your own rate then why did SE make it so you can't mule items to an alt?
The intent of the armory system is so that players can experience playing all the classes but ultimately, players will still need to decide on a class that they're gonna "main" and gear up first; the armory system is certainly not to circumvent the weekly lockout in place
In other words, the armory system allows you to experience playing multiple classes but players should still decide on a main class or a class they prioritize gearing, it should not be looked upon as having multiple characters with their individual lockouts under 1 IGN, the reason muling to an alt wasn't allowed is in part to discourage RMT and make it more difficult for RMTs to co-ordinate multiple "gil banks" and it has nothing to do with the armory system.
So if I have all crafters at level 50 I can't craft the best gear for an alt, but you expect people to create alts to get a second main character. Why would I want to grind through the whole story again, then grind out enough Philos to get Darklight just to get to the beginning of endgame, when I can do that on my original character?
