Why do people care so much about my gear level in pre-lvl50 dungeons?

I'm clearly trying to level up, I'm not here for progression, so why does it matter if i have a level 18 necklace? If you want me to get nicer gear on my alt, I expect you to pay me gil, because I am very poor. Otherwise why does it matter?

Someone who is going to be upset because you have a lvl 18 necklace (and all other appropriate gear) is a moron that you should really pay no attention too.


That being said, what's the deal with people running into 1 negative player, and feeling the need to post a thread on the forums about it?

Newsflash, there are some jerks in the MMORPG world. Fortunately, for every one jerk you run into, you're going to run into 70-80 great people who will constructively try to help you out (rather than flame you).

Focus on the good people, and ignore/block the bad.
