technically, most of us have seen MUS, and if you've been lucky, an ACN has casted Haste and Boost on you.
Yea they choose not to implement them, so what? its been done countless times in plenty of games where new classes are released as patches or mainly expansions. FFXIV should hold onto them so we have some new classes to play when they fix this game.
Well Arcanist isn't exactly basic. In the dat files there's also data for Bard, which is for an NPC, so it's not a full indicator for the ones missing a guild and physical weapon typethat it's even playable classes because in the dats monsters have usable abilities, doesn't mean we're controlling them anytime soon.
Hell I go through data even further than most have and I'm not seeing any TT indicators of additional classes in the dats currently. XIV has a funky setup compared to XI.
What makes me really sad is that they're not going to include the Shepard class. All that tantalization for nothing, curses! Now I'll have to go out and kill things for my skins. ;3
Don't forget there are also Dragoon NPCs. I found them. They're from Ishgard (identifiable by their red armor).
SE says : We'll look into it.
Edit : Even better SE says those classes are gm only lol.

I get the feeling that the original game was to have content released monthly to keep people interested, but with all the complaints over the games core structure and Tanaka's resignation as a producer, that plan was thrown out the window.
