    FF XIV game economy.

I haven't played enough to know but... can you resell armor you've purchased before? Like you could in FF XI when it first came out... dunno if it changed now.

If you can i think it is preferable that it is changed. It would stimulate the economy if those bought items cannot be resold and push people to craft more/ think twice about what to do with gear the dropped from monsters etc... I just think it would be a better way to go.

You can sell anything that isn't marked as untradeable and there are very few untradeable items.

I do agree with you. You'll find almost all players have focussed on at least one craft. There are no shortage of r50 craft classes at this point of the game so gone are the days when being the highest rank in your craft gave you the edge in the market. This means craft-only items aren't scarce. If you have a craft you'll usually try to sell items you've made to generate some cash. As will every other crafter. Because of this crafted items rarely have any value. Only items created with rare materials or needing multiple high level sub-crafts will fetch a decent amount of gil anymore. So the markets are flooded with crafted items, everyone trying to undercut the other just to get some sales.

There really needs to be some way to remove these items from the market. Introducing a system that has a chance to break equipment or like FFXI, make them untradeable once purchased.

The market isn't bad, I just liked how the FFXI AH was designed.

I think then that they need to make items that get bound to the character on equip and on pick up because if it remains free for all it won't help us craft, make money and stimulate the world economy.

My concern is... 20 weavers craft a specific R25 robe.... put it up for sale in the markets.... players buy it and when they level up they sell it back to the markets. The same 20 robes crafted weeks or months ago keep recylcling through the market. Always the same item being bough and sold back a few days later and there is no purpose for any new weavers to craft that same item again and sell it since they will already be a bunch in there. The same will apply to every item in the game.

Bound on equip items would take these 20 robes off the markets forever once they are equipped by players who bought them. Then there will be a demand and need for that item again and that's where other weavers can start crafting these items again... over and over as they are sold and make money in this endless cycle.

I do not know if rare items, like drops from NM or part of chain quests.... or when dungeons will be added... dunno if these items are or will be able to be sold or not but... We do need bound on pick up for most rare items... not all but most of them. If not, you could go into a dungeon.... defeat the boss and sell the loot at the markets and in the end the markets will be saturated with these rare items and there will be no point to run these dungeons as the same goal of obtaining that rare item, can be achieved in the markets with a lil gil....

Also i think Levequests do give too much money for now.... Crafting... gathering and selling loot monsters dropped should be the main income of money in the game/

Why not just let everyone dis-enchant everything again down to base materials. I remember many a day in FFXI burning through stacks of Lightening Crystals DE'ing crap.

I think the best way is to limit how many times you can repair that item, say one item may be repaired up to 10 times.

1.Any item that has been repair once before will become "untradable", so that player can not sell their second hand item with low repair counts.

2.Any item that has been repair to 10 times then it should get old enough to become "unable to repair" so that it is time for him to buy a new stuff already. (with the current patch, if you are in optimal rank, you can use the gear for full week without repair, so 10 times of repair should make it last long enough for use 1-2 months.)

3.Unique item usually are rare, and they should be allowed to have more repair count to 99x (which is probably enough to use for a few years)

I think asking DoW to buy one set of armor armor every 1-2 months should be good for economy flawlessness. Since most of DoW now has money and have nothing to spend if they not invest it for crafts.

It sounds the same as what i proposed with bound on equip and bound on pick up.. but the way i proposed would get these items off the markets faster.

People that are crafting should have a big list of items they can craft continously to make gil. Once they reach R50 they should be able to make some rare and valuable gear and be able to make it many items to meet the demand ... not just once for the first few crafters and have those same items 10 pple crafted sold over and over for years.

That rare and valuable gear that only r50s can craft. We kind of have that already. The equipment made from NM drops tends to need rather high level crafters. As well as any relevant sub-crafts. Though that's only available to those with a NM hunting group.

Wow I hate all suggestions. It would not help at all, people hardly resell now as most just get their 40+ gear by rank 1.
