Twintania - question

hey guys. we are just starting to work on Twintania, and I got a question or two. We are all about ilvl 90, and our dps is fairly good, we can beat turn 4 without hitting enrage.

1) is it really necessary to have tank swaps in 2nd phase? seems to me simpler to rotate cooldowns, virus, adloquium, and at worst have tank step into conflag. Seems like OT is really only useful to soak hatches in last phase, and snake tanking in phase 3, and just dps rest of the time.


2) Death sentence...is it every 30 seconds? I saw a video where some dude had an alarm going off every 30 seconds and then they knew to hit adlo and a tank cooldown...

1) No tank swaps, generally strategy on tanking is as below

Phase 1
MT - Twintania(TT)
OT - Tank adds in Shield Oath, switch to Sword to dps TT after

Phase 2
MT - TT
OT - DPS, make sure OT is dpsing conflags when they come up

Phase 3
MT - Big snake
OT - Turn shield oath back on, tank Little snakes. When dead switch to sword and dps big snake.

Phase 4
MT - TT
OT - Stun duty on dreadknights, you may have to stay away from TT and not dps depending on how many melee you have

Phase 5
MT - TT
OT - Neural link soak eggs, dps TT. If at all possible, save Hallowed Ground for this phase so that if you get hit with lava you can stand in it.

If you're using a warrior as OT, you'll need to adjust slightly but that'll give you an idea on how it goes.

2) Yes about every 30 seconds, note that other abilities may delay it but its never less than 30 seconds between.

You do not need to tank swap, in fact you don't even require two tanks; as shown Here.

Death Sentence is indeed every 30 seconds.

thanks. It looks like it helps a lot to have paladin stoneskin himself...unfortunately our paladin MT doesnt have SS....i guess i could go paladin just to stoneskin him, but that defeats purpose of having one tank haha

We solo tank Twin, bringing in an extra DPS. Requires SCH and WHM tho and they need to adlo and stone skin every death sentence. There are rng factors that occasionally end a run prematurely but in all solo tanking makes the fight alot easier not having to deal with dps checks.

I'm pretty sure DS is every 35 seconds and not 30. o.o
