Will the support role ever make it's triumphant return to FFXIV!?
Will the support role ever make it's triumphant return to FFXIV!?
Q: Will traits become cross clasable eventually?
2 questions!
1) Will Ishgard become a city for players? if so, when will you implement it?
2) What new job/class will be implemented in the future and which ones will they be?
I really want to know the answer to this now. Once everything is level 50 any new jobs derived from the previous classes will just instantly be 50 and put you at a disadvantage of learning 50 levels of how to play the new job. I still find it odd that you can level 1-50 as a SMN then just swap books and be a healer with no knowledge whatsoever.Q3. Should additional jobs be added to the game, how will this affect the class system? The class system feels underwhelming and serves no purpose at the moment, except for a stepping stone for the job advancement quest. Would it not be better to just abolish the class system?
They said Ishgard would become accessible with the first expansion to be released for FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. People estimate around a year after game launch, but nothing's guaranteed on that part.
Will there be a system added to return purchased darklight gears that become obsolete once you've obtained Allagan or Crystal Tower gear? I don't expect to get all of my tomestones back, but getting a fraction back would be nice since they have absolutely no use after they've been replaced.
is the one item a week for Crystal labyrinth going to be something that stay's or are you going to lift this restriction one day ?
Greetings,
I can't seem to post this question anywhere more suitable, so I'll just shoot!
To the director/assistant director,
I've been a huge Final Fantasy fan since probably 12 years ago. Even up to this moment, if I hear music from FF8, 7, or 9, it still tears me up and makes me feel like I've gotten back to their world. I grew up loving video games, and especially the RPG genre, mostly thanks to Final Fantasy.
I've had probably little interest in anything up to this point in my life, but then I saw headlines about Naoki Yoshida and how he made a sinking ship back to its vigor, and I played FF14 and loving every aspect of it. I think it's very genius how you can cater to both casual and hardcore players without discriminating one or the other. In my opinion the systems that are placed are perfect, from the token system to the gil generation and how one character can do it all. And I've seen how the public receives FF14 with much positivity, and how the dev team could stand their ground regardless of what people said and stood firm for what they believe is the right design decision. More of all, it is because games bring people together, ever since the conception of it, it allows people of all ages and gender and race or social standing to stand equally and have fun together. It's funny how pictures, stories, and music on a screen can really touch you, reignite the flames inside you, make friends (even from the single player games, you used to talk about them at school!) and such is the beauty of video games.
It greatly inspired me, and now I seek to be a game designer. Right now I'm starting small, I'm a level designer at an indie company making android apps but ultimately, I want to make an RPG that can bring people together like ff14 did. Yoshi-P and the entire development team are people I really look up to now, and I'd like to ask a question to the assistant director and the director: What skills are the most important when aspiring to be a good game designer? Are there courses that I should take that would help me in pursuing that career? Any particular skills needed, technically and socially? What do you have in mind when designing, say, hard content to ensure everyone can enjoy it? How does Final Fantasy capture the hearts of the players, and still continue to do so episode after episode? How did you end up in Square Enix, and would there be any opportunity to gain first hand experience in seeing the dev team in work or even ultimately work as one? Thank you so much for your time, and I pray for Final Fantasy 14 to keep bringing great content one after another.
Now that it has been around 2 plus months for the elites to finish Extreme Mode, and grind the heck out of it, is there any plans to lower the extreme difficulty of the Titan X fight so that others more mid level players can also complete the extreme modes?
Is there any plans to make Titan X more lag friendly as well as allow (older) people with lesser reflex and memorisation abilities to pass it?
Regards.
What class do you play or tend to favor in ffxiv ARR if any?
