Are you shooting for most accuracy possible? The point is that we're shooting for the least amount of accuracy required for the task at hand, that way we're using more Weapon Damage/STR/DTR/CRT (in that order) instead of more unneeded accuracy, so we do more damage. Can someone explain to me why we’re aiming for BiS with accuracy 482, and without deviled eggs?

My current profile with mixed wyrm/allagan/onion/DL gear shows a higher number:
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LJ7Z Gear Calculator shows 485 (+144)
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/3333410/ Lodestone shows 485
A clarification for this newb would be nice!

Oh am I misunderstanding that bis chart? This is from the first page of the Dragoon Rotation Reborn guide.

Am I aiming for zero accuracy (bottom most on the list)?
Thanks for the quick response btw.
You want the least accuracy required for a 100% hit-rate on the task at hand. We think T5 requires somewhere from the mid 460s to the mid 470s (testing is still ongoing). T4 requires a bit less than that. So you want to ONLY do mid 470s for T5, and then use whatever gear is available for damage. Weapon Damage first, then STR, then DTR, then CRT.Oh am I misunderstanding that bis chart? This is from the first page of the Dragoon Rotation Reborn guide.

Outside of coil, I'm not sure what accuracy is required, basically just play with it. Use as little as possible, and when you miss, increase it a little bit. I know I simply don't have enough alternate gear to be able to change out that much. If you get an ilvl90 gear set in the mid 470s, call it a day and start putting your efforts into other jobs. Unless you really wanna min-max.
Edit: We will probably need more accuracy for future content, though. So keep that in mind.

Ohhhh oh my god thanks. I dont know why this is not intuitive to me.
I got confused with the fact that my somewhat lowbie gear is giving so much more accuracy than that list. Thanks for the clarification!
EDIT: Nevermind I think I figured out the problem. For whatever reason the openoffice calc solver isn't able to distinguish the name labels, so even if I select a cell range if that range has a label to it it puts that label in but that seems to interfere with the solver I guess. Which is why when I manually redid everything it works because I didn't use any name labels.

Isn't turn 2 needing 472 acc to not miss anything ?
I've been running T1-4 the past two weeks with 457 Acc, and haven't seen any misses on my skills. Not sure about AA (can't parse on PS3). Haven't done T4 this week, and I can tell its going to be a long one; I want to get it parsed, so if I do I'll get the results and post them.

If people are interested in alternative solvers, here's my combined MNK/BRD/DRG spreadsheet
Probably not the prettiest but I tried to make it very easily customizable to make a gearset with common parameters
