30 minute AFK-kick timer needs to go.

I cant even mention the amount of times i've been kicked waiting for my Duty Finder queue to start. It makes you stay glued to your computer at all times.

Please please please get rid of it already. There's absolutely no point to it anymore.

Or atleast set it to something like 2-3 hours so it will still get rid of people who fell asleep or are AFK for a long time.

A: There is no point to having it around anymore, not once have i ever been locked out of a server now that most of the population has quit already.

B: It is easily circumvented by people who want to stay online all night anyhow to keep track of chatlogs.

So please make this game a little better and more relaxing and remove the auto AFK-timer.

I shouldnt have to change jobs or talk to a NPC everytime i want to stay online. It's a hassle and more proof that the AFK-timer is nothing but a complete joke that only serves as an anoyance.

I agree or even if they leave it in then it shud recognise when you are in a duty finder and disable until you have completed the duty or leave the duty finder, as I have had problems with this my self too whilst waiting on the duty finder only to be kicked out after waiting like 30 mins to join a duty and then having to log back in to do it all over again

While I agree that it is pretty annoying to be booted after just 30 minutes, you seem to contradict yourself. If this feature is so easy to circumvent, then why is it an issue? I wish it'd go away myself, but they already stated in some of the many other threads on this same subject that they are not removing it.

I'll add my two cents as someone who plays on one of the most crowded/congested servers. Character creation is restricted throughout most of the day, only opened up on off-peak hours. There is a queue every time I log into my server... doesn't matter if it is primetime, the middle of the night, or early morning. The queue is never very long, but it is there. Getting rid of the kick timer would make it very hard for those of us on congested servers to log in. If you are waiting on a DF queue, you must be near your computer... since you only have 45 seconds to answer the queue anyway, so I think you will be able to 'jump' once every thirty minutes to stay logged in.

Here is what I think may alleviate some of your stress, though: the 2.1 patch introduced an auto-kick feature in all instances. If you are inactive for ten minutes, you are booted out. However, at the five minute mark of inactivity... it will warn you. I can't tell you how many times my FC has needed to take a break on new content and I've seen that message pop up while chatting in mumble. It's a nice little reminder that... "Hey, if you are here.. you should move!" So, perhaps if they implemented some sort of 'warning' for the real world... (you will be logged out due to inactivity in five minutes), it would help people who ARE actually there from getting booted.

But no, I don't think AFKers should be allowed to sit online all night. There is absolutely no point to that.
