SCH - Eos' embrace bug?

On the tool tip for the scholar pet ability "Embrace" it states that the range is 30y but when ever it is cast from a 30y range, Eos always moves forward a few yalms to get in range to cast it. Meaning that the heal range of "Embrace" is actually less then 30y.

Bug? or is the tool tip wrong?

You can easily replicate this by (pet needs to be in "Obey" stance);
1) Tell your pet to hold position with the "stay" command.
2) Target your pet and move your character to healing distance, 30 yalms.
3) Have your pet cast embrace on you, pet wont cast embrace even though its the healing range of 30 yalms.
4) Keep creeping forward towards pet, casting embrace on yourself after each step till pet finally casts embrace, its well within the range of 30 yalms.

Her max heal range is supposedly the same as your physick at 30y but if placed, she'll only heal on her own at about half of that unless you force her. But even the 30y listed on her embrace isn't correct. I have physick and embrace macro'd together and tested it at max range on a friend. She always moves closer to the target to heal even when forced. And if you notice also, the casting time on Embrace is not what's listed. For my character it's supposed to be 1.97 for both the phy and embrace. The fairy will take longer to cast her heal.

Not sure what you're talking about here. If anything, my fairy's cast time is slightly faster than mine. Are you timing from the moment of the button presses, or are you looking at the cast bars when they start at the same time? Server response time will make her slower in the former case, but her actual casting should be faster than your own.

What I'm saying is that her embrace never comes out at the same time when I cast physick. My friend who also plays sch noticed the same thing. I have a macro for both heals and even tested by pressing my hotkeys for both spells at the same time. The fairy's embrace has just finished the animation right after my physick hits the target. So there's .5 delay I guess.

What's what Seravi is saying, though. There's a delay where you're talking to the server and the server is directing Selene/Eos to cast.

I posted this thread in the bug report forum and it got accepted. So hopefully in a future patch (2.15!) Scholar pets will get what should already be in the game, a heal that has a range of 30y.

I'm surprised this wasn't reported earlier, i only just started playing Scholar and noticed something wrong with the range instantly.

Scholar pet wont heal from a 30y range regardless of weather or not the pet is in a placed position. Embrace will never heal from 30y, she will either;
a) more forward
b) not heal at all

Tbh... I kind of -don't- want this fixed. I like her current "sight range". (less heals on raid, more on tanks) Although I've noticed if you do tell her to heal someone out of range manually in a fight, she'll flutter closer to them, heal, then go back to her spot.
