turn2 ads cannot develop resistance to it so it doesnt matter if you hit at the same time as a brd, so go ahead and use it, occasionally it might help

Not sure I see your point. If HV was used every 30 seconds, it still wouldn't matter that Silent Dusk has a 40s cooldown if your silence rotation is 2 people.Turn 1 ADS uses High Voltage about every 30-35 seconds, so it's not quite doable. Turn 2 ADS, however, uses it about every 45-50 seconds. I've done used it in the past when we've been lacking silences, although sometimes she takes a tad too long because she just started casting a heal.
HV #1: Silent Dusk used
HV #2: Blunt Arrow used, Silent Dusk has ~10s on cooldown still
HV #3: Silent Dusk used, Blunt Arrow is close to cooldown
etc
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
My numbers are a bit off. I was thinking of every second High Voltage so what I said should be halved. Not sure I see your point. If HV was used every 30 seconds, it still wouldn't matter that Silent Dusk has a 40s cooldown if your silence rotation is 2 people.

thank you very much to all, i was afraid to generate resistance to silence but now im more confident
I've been able to silence with Selene
First you put her on obey (you'll have to remember to manually cast her buffs)
Focus target ADS (on keyboards it's defaulted to Shift F dunno about ps3)
Then make a macro like this:
/pac "Silent Dusk" <f>
if you want a text + sound notification, put it on the next line in the macro, no wait.
This is what I do, Selene will Silence your focus, so you don't have to target ADS. You can change it up slightly if you don't want ADS to be your focus, ( I know ppl tend to focus the person they take/give the ROT to).

yeah, thats the way i do it or with <t> <tt> cause it depends on the situation in on ps3 so yes, shift+f does the job for focus targetI've been able to silence with Selene

I don't know why I never thought to do this macro after 2.1...I guess I figured "someone else will silence" but I often find myself using it in Crystal Tower during the first 2 areas! Thanks for the macro!I've been able to silence with Selene

if its T2 key is also ur team. If the dps are enough and ure almost high-end gear u only need 2 silences at 3rd mob till u kill him ... it doesn't matter who will do that. for example if I'm doing t2 with FC mates and tank is random Im doin silence with my Fc's bard. If we got tank and bard from FC Im focusing on heals and shielding only and dont give a shit about silence. it's all matter of situation
peace
Absolutely, as long as Selene is in range she will insta silence if not casting embrace (which falls down to you keeping HP up)
