I don't think there is any ideal solution but I do have another roundabout. For buttons 6-10, we have to assign it to macro corresponding to a function in the game.

I do hope we can get someone with a better answer unlike the condescending answer we first got.

You didn't get a condescending answer, you got an informed user stating that the mouse you chose, which was specifically designed for WoW, does not have support for Final Fantasy and never will.

The problem is caused by the fact that Windows as 'standard' doesn't support more than Button 5 so in order to have 6-10 work in the same way needs applications to be changed specifically to deal with them; clearly WOW has been changed by Blizzard, presumably the mouse maker paid them to do it.

The method you're using works because the mouse driver supplied with the mouse makes it so that buttons 6-10 generate key-press messages which programs can 'see'.

It seems highly unlikely to me SE will add support for non-standard esoteric devices made for other games unless paid to do so, which seems equally unlikely to me as the potential market is minimal I'd expect.

The mouse software has an import/export function... in case you run out of profile slots I suppose.

    Well.. just export one set.
Then edit it (it's a XML file, Notepad will do).
Basically change the codes to change the function/keybinds of each button

Like what this cat did. There's even a list of codes (note: Use the 2nd column, not the Windows nor the BIOS codes).
