The casuals. You are deluded if you think the hardcore are the majority.
Myth cap as it is fine. If there was no cap, people like you would gear all your jobs in one day, and call it quits. The gap between casuals and hardcore will continue to grow even bigger. Soon, we will have people requesting a minimum of i90 parties to do Ifrit HM. Really? Eventually the casuals decide that they can't keep up anymore,, and they call it quits too. Then all we're left with is about 10 - 20% of the player base, the remaining few hardcore players who still think the game is worth their time then.
I agree that content gating to an extent sucks, but I see it as a necessary evil.
I guess I am deluded, because on Hyperion it seems like there all more people in endgame than anything. The casuals. You are deluded if you think the hardcore are the majority.

Being at end-game does not make one not casual.
My partner and I both have a maxed level class and while we're working on our 'end-game' equipment we're taking our good sweet time doing it because we're also fooling around with other classes, with crafters and gatherers and with just being in the world with people.
Considering how incredibly easy it is to get to max level, and how incredibly easy it is to acquire tomestones if you want to it is very easy to play it casually and still be up there with the so-called 'hardcore.'

I don't care about end-game, I get shinies with my DoH classes for housing!
But seriously, do you NEED all your classes fully geared or do you WANT all your classes fully geared? If you're looking for a hardcore gamestyle, this game is not for you, then. Being realistic, I don't think they will remove the caps. And be thankful they increased the myth cap. They probably won't remove the lockouts, so you will have to live with them. To be honest, most of the complaints here probably won't be heard by SE either. They have a design on mind and their own plans. Suggestions are always welcome for them, but they won't implement EVERY little thing the players want. This thread about caps and lockouts has been posted a lot of times and they didn't do a thing about it except what I previously stated above.
