High possibility your account was hacked.

High possibility your account was hacked.
Agree. Or victim of that famous exploit. Both cases can be fixed just using support, open a ticket and let them investigate on your account.
You have no reason to open a thread here where noone of us will be able to help you or fix your problem. The company does, isn't it obiouvs?
I was wondering if when you logged you found a mail "Thanks for your money, we was needing them. Oh please next time make your password shorter, i mean "PASSWORD" is too long ! " /sarcasm off

have to admit a free weekend is to bring people back to the game
Coming back to realize you were hacked and lost all your gil and/or items is not a good experience
Also whats up with all the D'ish responses yall need to grow up seriously

Wait, you're blaming SE for your account being compromised by others?

I doubt he was compromised by others if he is telling the truth about still having some gil left.
You don't hack an acc and randomly leave 150k.
Also, holy molly at the witch hunt at the OP from several people in this thread. People leave games all the time because of irl situations, you don't get all up in their face over it.
While it really sucks to come back and see your gil gone but you do have options. As others have mentioned there are a number of reasons that could explain why your gil is missing and all of them can be fixed with a single ticket. Sadly this is the reality of MMOs and Online games these days, there will always be people who hack and exploit ruining the experience for others; I honestly don't see the point of blaming SE though, its not like SE is denying to give your gil back, if anything they have solutions in place to help people affected. Whether you choose to stay or leave is up to you but this is not an FFXIV issue, its an issue that affects all MMOs.

It's still the most plausible explanation here, assuming good faith in the OP that he didn't RMT. SE just fleecing him of 3m for no legitimate reason is way down on the list of plausible explanations.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Not really imo. I have known enough people who have gotten hacked to know they take EVERYTHING. Including npcing every item they can and taking the gil from that, too.
The fact this didn't happen makes hacking sound more like an extraordinary claim.
[edit] This is not to say that I think him getting hacked is impossibly fyi. But the person I quoted didn't give a what/if, but rather a statement as if it was truth. We have no idea atm what happened to the OP's money, and shouldn't just brush him off with our own assumptions and attack him for it.

There is no good reason to leave gil behind. Account wasn't compromised by an outside party, and anyone who thinks so isn't thinking hard enough.
