    It's only 1 million, so most people are barely going to be moving anything without a significant amount of effort. In fact it's likely to hurt the economy more by having such a strict gil restriction as people buy out items on one server and flood the markets with them on the next.

    Bind everything to the transferring player and/or make everything unsellable including dyes/gear/components/etc.. Everything that could be sold becomes unsellable.

    That just reinforces the problem that people who have gil and want to play with friends are being punished for it. Gil caps on transfer can be fine, but 1m (or even the original 3m) are way too low. At that rate they might as well just say you can't bring any with you at all, since that's more or less what 1-3m is.
