Then remove housing entirely until all functions and aspects are ready. Better to have nothing rather than something, right?*eye roll*
Seriously? Patience would be called for if we were wanting a feature that has been promised for 'future development.' Patience in this situation is not called for. This is not a 'coming feature' that we're seeing sneak peeks of, this is a CORE element of patch 2.1. Companies that have saved gil since launch have already been patient and have already been saving gil in expectation of this CORE element of the patch. To be told after the official release of the content, that you'll have to be patient and wait longer because some other players have a crap-ton of gil is unreasonable.

And you say the devs are the ones being unreasonable. >.>
But it isn't out of reach. There are FC's with houses. And did you read what I posted above? Earning money is not difficult. Even a small FC can easily save up close to three quarters of a million gil a week with only a few hours a day focused on earning money. With the way prices are dropping, that will get you a medium sized house in 2-3 months. And that's if you're starting from zero gil. It is absolutely within reach.

Yes. I do.
Housing was presented as a core feature of 2.1.
Core features are expected to be accessible after you have fulfilled the requirements. Be that leveling, gearing or saving gil.
Releasing housing and putting different gil requirements per server is unreasonable. Especially when there is a magnitude of 10 difference between Player A's price on server group one, and my price on Durandal.
If everyone's prices were the same, but astronomical, this topic would be different. The reason there is so much outrage is the sheer magnitude of the pricing difference between server groups. Is this so difficult a concept to understand that people are STILL saying we are whining?
"But, housing prices are scheduled to decrease." you say. So what? It's a nice gesture, but that's all it is, a gesture. We still can't access the content, we still don't know what will happen when they 're-evaluate' the pricing, so we still don't know how long we're going to be locked out of a CORE feature because of the actions (gil stockpiling) of a very few number of players.
Durandal, in the most expensive server group, has ONE house. ONE. And it's a small sized house. Where are all these players with the crap-ton of gil who have effectively prevented the rest of us from accessing this core feature?
