Odin, tainted go? Or shapeshifting phantom? (Possible Spoilers)

So I learned a new mechanic of odin from the general discussion

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Lalafell-Odin

Odin takes the shape of the last foe that had some specific interaction with him. Be it last hit first encountered I do not know. But from a lore prospective this is very interesting.

    <Spoiler!>

From the quests out Urth's Gift we learn three things of Odin

    - Odin attacked and defeated Urth (provoked or not not disclosed)
    - In turn defeated by an Allagan hero
    - imprisioned in a stone at Urth's gift

But if we assume that this isn't just the devs humor in the works that Odin be it via a power or neccessaity mimics the one that defeats him or even the one that defeats him becomes Odin (Of course if its a player the devs wouldn't strip you of a character).

So I have come to the theory that Odin isn't so much a primal in the sense he/she is summoned by prayer but a primal as in a force of nature that is replinshed, revived, and ressurrected by the world as a whole.

    Theory:
    - Possible created from the blood of Urth
    - Odin is a primal of war/combat
    - "Odin" is a title more then a name
    - Odin is specifically a curse proving Violence begets violence as the one that defeats "Odin" becomes "Odin"

The first "Odin" would be the Allagan hero himself and could have trapped himself in the rock to stop repeating cycle. If some one released him and did not defeat him it would fall on the strongest to face, slay and in return become Odin effectly downing the most powerful warriors in gridiana.

The final words of Odin warning of not knowing what you did with slaying him is possible evidence of signing your own demise.

Not usually, though sometimes if you ask really nicely in the thread, a Mod will ninja fix it for you.

Could be that the citizenry are subconsciously wishing for strong warriors to defend them, unwittingly summoning a manifestation of the strongest warrior from the very aether itself? And if this manifestation is defeated, the next summoning would "improve on the design," so to speak. After all, whoever vanquished the summoning last time was stronger than the "strongest warrior."

Urth was a prominent figure. In Norse mythology, she is the goddess of fate. I think by killing her, Odin was forever cursed. I had this idea that Odin was a failed or an early Allagan "hero-augmenting" experiment that escaped. That's why they sent their hero (Acheron or another successfully augmented one) to clean up the mess.

I have heard SE call him a "wandering primal" though, which is separate from Allag inventions.

Ah ok, but does that mean that the lalafel was a lalafel before the first player sees him or does odin not spawn until the boundry is crossed?

We already have confirmation that he is an Elder Primal, which I would assume would separate him from the Primals in some way. As the only Elders to be known currently are Bahamut and Odin, I would say that they are unlike Leviathan, Garuda, Titan , etc. in that they needn't be summoned, rather they summon themselves.
