    The first should be updating fine, and if it isn't, submit a bug report. The gear set names do not automatically update the gear level; they have to be reset manually.

    They do, actually. Only before they followed the convention JOB(Lv.xx) where the xx that would get updated reflected the level of your weapon in the set. Now it's JOB(Item Lv.xx) where it's your average item level rather than just that of your weapon. All you have to do to get it auto-updating again is to delete and re-save the offending gearset(s).
