If you get loot that you don't want simply by not passing in a minute, then something is wrong.

I didn't get revived and now I'm stuck with a crappy dragoon chest piece when I'll probably never play that job.

The discussion about auto-obtaining a piece of loot if you don't pass is a valid one. However, your post made it sound like the reason you got stuck with the loot automatically was because you were dead. This is not the case. You can pass while dead.

It's kind of a pet peeve of mine when people just ignore the loot window. I make sure to click at least one of the three buttons as soon as possible, because causing someone to wait for the results of something just because I don't care about it is asinine. Just click pass and move on.

That being said, getting forced loot because you were the last one to hit pass and everyone else left is an issue on the last boss, and is going to be addressed. Problem solved, crisis averted. Thinking SE owes you for receiving loot that you didn't want is bordering on ridiculous, though.

Its like the idiots that drive in the fast lane at 20MPH and refuse to move. Or the people who walk in rows of 4 down the mall blocking everyone else behind them from overtaking. Or the people who suddenly decide to start texting someone in the entrance to a building. Or the mother#$%#%$# who parks his car in your driveway.

If only I had Bruce Wayne's money... forget the Jokers and Banes, I would come after these people with my billions.

the amount of maintenance without hotfixes this game goes through compared to others is unreasonably high, and saying something is going to be fixed in the next version instead of in a hotfix just means they don't care enough about their customer's opinions.

Wow! Glad to see this is being addressed considering the fact that I submitted multiple tickets in-game since it started to happen to me on 12/31. However, the in-game GMs just dismissed the issue and told me I should have passed.

I started a thread in the Bugs section, and it was promptly closed by a moderator stating that this was a "gameplay" issue.

I roll through CT exclusively as a WAR and I know how difficult it can be actually getting to duty up because people will withdraw unless the dungeon is already half way done. Iv'e been running two weeks now trying to get tank headpiece when it does I have lost out on need/greed to tanks that either have AF2 headpiece or allagan. They clearly don't NEED it if they have lvl 90 allagan gear so they shouldn't be allowed to roll need if they do. I don't want to come off as whining but when you lose out after telling your co-tank what you're looking for, and they respond with 'well i just wanted it to have it." I'm sure you'd be a bit miffed too.

tl;dr Make it so players with a higher gear level can't need on loot that is lower in their corresponding class. (ex. a monk with level 90 chest can't need on fuma chest if there's another monk in the party with lower gear)

Unfortunately I became a victim to this last night (Monday / reset day) after joining 2 glitched instances (Bosses stuck in loop, Bone Dragon and Acheron), a crashed instance on the third try which left me dead in my inn room and on the completion of the forth run I was in end CS (PS3) and everybody was exiting my alliance right as I was navigating to pass the item when it dropped to me as the last person left and I ended up with an item I cant use anytime in the near future. From no fault of my own other than having slow load times on CS due to PS3 I have been put in the time out corner for the rest of the week Some of my LS mates were in my alliance but were unaware of this "bug" but my pain is our gain and this should be the last time it happens. I like the idea of trading unneeded loot for items that can be used, or the no-lot drop idea but until this issue is resolved communication with your team is your best bet.

Um, what? Who died and made you the arbiter of what "normal" behavior is? What are your qualifications, exactly, for this job? o_O

What you really mean is that you aren't upset by such a thing, so the rest of us should shut the hell up. Well, pumpkin, you aren't the arbiter of normal and you don't have the right (or even the experience) to tell other people what they should or should not be upset about.

It has been addressed and will be dealt with in the next update. Just accept it.
