Well, you can still be kicked now. Hearty spite doesn't really protect from that.

Thank goodness for the kick option "play how you want to play" at your own risk in a party. Reminds me of whm/wars in FFXI "I'll play how I want to play!" Goodbye ./kick Play how you want to in play solo content for sure though.

Personally I think the way the game was before the kick option was introduced has bred this attitude that you can turn up unprepared and fail and it's all ok, in fact if the other 7 people don't like it they're just elitists discriminating against new players. By it's very nature there is no accountability in the Duty Finder so people could completely ignore the needs of their party members and have this selfish attitude.

It doesn't work that way with no Duty Finder because people will simply exclude you from the group and eventually you'll get a bad rep and people won't want to play with you. You can only burn so many bridges before it bites you in the ass.

I'm hopeful with the introduction of the kick option the less empathetic members of our community will realise that to play with other people you have to accept you have certain social responsibilities. I wonder if some of the people in this thread have ever played a team game in real life, tried the precious snowflake approach and seen how far it got them. I'm guessing it wasn't very far.
