    Can jumping kill from high places kill your character?

    So I have jumped from tonnes and tonnes of high areas and been left with 1 HP every time I do so.
    My flatmate on the other hand claims that he has jumped from high places but died quite a few times.
    I am a Lalafell. He isn't.
    Is that something to do with it?

    If you have aggro you will die, otherwise you will live with 1hp

    If you're being aggro-ed by something then you will die jumping from high altittude.
    If you are not aggro-ed by anything, jumping from high altittude will leave you with 1 hp.

    Nothing to do with race

    I once jumped off a humongous crystal thing in Coerthas... and landed right in front of an aggressive gigas. That was not a fun day.

    Landing in a fate will also get you killed, even if you don't have a mob on you.

    actually i was wondering if you could get aggro-ed while in air :P

    would be quite funny if you jumped off thinking you are invincible, then some random mob aggro-ed you mid-air, gg

    I can confirm you can die from fall damage. I had a low-level mining accident in Thanalan yesterday. >_>

    1. The number of Lv.50 classes/jobs you have says nothing about your skill.
    2. FATEs are responsible for the majority of Lv.50 "derps".
    3. Don't blame a healer if you died in red zones; that was all on you.
    4. As a healer, healing is your top priority; DPSing comes second.
    5. As a tank, your healer can only keep you alive for so long; avoid red zones, too.
    6. As a DPS, you're partially responsible for hate management, too.
    7. Don't belittle newbs for their lack of skill or knowledge; you were one of them once.
