Umm...is this real or fake? I can't tell

Dont know how legit the site or the news is, my friend only linked me to it, but i tried googling it and there seems to be alot of articles all roughly around the same date.

It's fan art. Lot's of people imitate Tetsuya Nomura's style. Don't forget how legit the fake Kain and Lightening announcements were as DLC characters for the first game. The article tells you there's no official roster yet, which should be enough to tell you that's fan art.

Another clue as to how that's fan art: Stella and Noctis are on it. Why didn't they put Lightening in the first game? The official reason was because they didn't want to create any preconceived notions about her fighting style, i.e. they didn't want to spoil the FFXIII battle system or story in any way.

You're third clue: They wouldn't announce that many characters so quickly.

I dont know, im as confused as to you, i didnt hear about this at all when this bit of news first came out, only found out today.

1 -Not arguing or anything but, we know this is mostly fanart as news sites that don't have a official picture/video to go with there article actually use turn to such art, its just how media works.
2 -Stella and Noctis could very well be in Dissidia 3, they never said when it will be released or how far along the developing of it is going, it could very much well come out around or after FFXV is released.
3 -Like you said, It is fan art, I merely posted this picture because i was wondering who the top 4 characters where, then edit the OP an hour later with the link to where i got the picture from because some people where inquiring about its origin.

If anything everyone should be taking that article with a grain of salt, as it seemed to of only been published on the lesser unknown news sites rather then the mainstream, and something like this the mainstream should of picked up on too which is why its a bit weird they havent.

i read it over and looked at this countdown website that has been announced by SE with the date 1.8 which could mean the 8th of january (if we go mm/dd) but it could mean the 1st of august and since it is a well known japanese mobile company SE have paired with for this thing my hopes of a dissidia 3 go lower but on the upside the news article might be far off but they are right about there being a new game soon

I don't care if this is not going to be a thing, I still squealed like a little girl when I saw Kaze and Makenshi. I would be so ecstatic to see them in a game.
