Yeah I don't know why they changed the graphics. All they had to do was add more content and the game would have been great.

All they needed to do was fix the UI and Navigation, link the story better together and 1.0 would have been just fine, but they scrapped all of 1.0 and built 2.0.
Bring back the old graphics!
i miss 1.0 weapon skill animationssome were soooo cool

I miss animation lock... I hate sliding everywhere... (though they could of made it shorter)

I do find myself longing for certain aspects of 1.0 ...
The foundation of ARR is better though, obviously, the game just hasn't really captured me yet,
but no current gen MMO has, and no past one either save FFXI.
Being that i've had my fill of XI though for the most part, i'm happy riding this game out and seeing where it goes.
I'm thinking, like most successful MMOs, it'll take a good 3 years before the game really shines.

1.0s graphics wouldn't work on PS3 so they needed a graphic engine that would work for both PC and PS3.
This game can and will shine soon enough. Like all MMOs, the first few years are hard. Now if they ever did put the graphics engine back into FFXIV I suspect it would take a good couple of years to do so to carry over the very nice UI we have with Navigation and everything else that ARR improved on.I do find myself longing for certain aspects of 1.0 ...
