    Meteria needs to raise ILVL (URGENT!!!!)

    At the current state of game with duty finder ILV restriction all crafted Lv 70 gear is useless.. If you have full set melded with 3-5 materias you should be registered at ilv 80-90 but instead you dont get any bonus and get excluded from content..

    What you need is something on materia that when melded raises the ILV stat, so something with 5 melds would become ILV80 allowing you to get into parties etc..

    Either that or raise the craft item level because nothing except coil / myth gear is worth anything..

    Crafting and gathering broken ..

    I actually kind of like this idea. However, the mechanisms for this seem quite complex. Not only would the materia level be taken into account, but also the type of materia. I have an astro choker that is melded with wind and ice resistances just for spirit bonding sake. I wonder how that would affect ilvl. Also, what about HQ gear? Should that also increase ilvl?

    Or you get new gear... that's something that comes with new content at a patch... New content comes out, and you work to get the better gear to get into that thing.


    I personally could NEVER codone material raising your average ilevel by 10-20 points. Most people don't even have gear upgrades that raise them 10-20 points, unless you're a fresh 50 with some 48 quest items. If they did do this, which I don't think they'd ever do, I'd only raise it by one MAYBE two at max.

    I'd prefer new crafting items, than anything else. But still, it's not hard to run CT and do myth runs.

    It should be 5 levels max if 5 materia is melded.

    CT chest has 5 more main stat, 5 more vit and usually 10 more offstats compared to darklight.

    If you meld 5 materia you can maybe get 18 more offstats, that doesn't even make up for the extra offstats + 1 main stat on the CT gear.

    The point is that if materia could raise gear to be on par or just below par with other gear then it would make crafting not useless again.
    As it is now you have level 50 materials on the wards for 1g or sold to vendors.. Crafting is broken, materia is broken since it can only be equipped on crafted gear..
    Gathering is broken, so that leaves only the Coil/myth and sub par CT gear.

    They could do it in a way that the materia benefits the class for it.. so a caster gear would not get benefit from str gear but would for spell speed etc.

    Yes ideally the cap should be only a few ilv not 20..

    iLVL would only be raised by the highest tier possible for that gear. So for iLVL 70 only tier IVs would bring the iLVL up 2 points per materia. When the iLVL goes up so does STR/VIT/Def/M.Def. Just my opinion.

    IMO, that's what you should be left with. The only things they released harder than Coil is EXT modes, and it's not that hard to get to the ilevel.


    I've literally done barely anything since I turned 50. I started playing for a month when it came out, I resubbed for the patch, and I just got my relic weapon like four days ago. Done Titan HM twice with friends, the other HM's in duty finder, and I have no idea where coil even is or what it looks like. I've gotten two items from CT the rest from AK, and I'm at ilvl 67 right now. I can't even say I've earned it, but apparently I can que for both garuda extreme AND titan extreme, and I only need 3 more ilevels before I can que for Ifrit.

    I've spent more time on BTN than SCH.


    If anything, they could do item level upgrades and stat upgrades with myth tomes.

    I guess for me, crafting has ALWAYS fallen off in every game I've ever played. Crafted gear is usually useful for the first patch of a set of patches, then it falls off when better gear is easy to obtain. Crafting never has, and probably never will, scale with the current content, nor will material in this case since it's tied to crafting.

    I do not believe that materia should raise item level. An item usually has 3 to 4 stats on it. Thre difference per stat from item level 55 to 70 is between 5 and 6. So to raise all 3 stats 5 or 6 points would take more more materia than it has slots for. Thus the item may have improved by a small percentage, but not nearly enough to raise the item level. I suggest you repost as a complaint about crafted gear item levels too low, as thats seems like a valid point

    Actually I was going to disagree with materia giving Ilvl then I remembered that a 5 meld astral ring with capped stats is bis in blm gear pre weapon shield. Now it makes sense. How is a level 70 item bis over level 90 items? Materia

    If this was done SE would have to pay extra close attention to how much Ilvl was given per materia. And have certain requirements met.

    The raise to item level of a fully capped astral ring with 12 crit, 12 speed, and 6-9 vit is a 20 point Ilvl increase. It would only increase your total Ilvl by a few points though if this were implemented.
