Making FFXIV MB based off of Blind bidding just like FFXI AH

FFXI Market was terrible. That whole economy was a wreck.

FFXI economy was a wreck yes, but we're not talking about the economy we're talking about the Auction House, which for a lot of people, myself included, is preferred over the Market Board because you can't see what the sellers are listing their item for and therefore can't purposely undercut a specific seller, but can still see market history, which usually makes it easier for prices on items to not fluctuate rapidly unless someone does sometihng retarded and purposely craps on the market.

Here in FFXIV, people undercut just to sell their stuff, they generally aren't doing it to tank the market. Having a system like the FFXI would help with this issue. Yeah it's not perfect, but I think it's better than what we have now.

I did not like the AH in FFXI, however, I completely agree with your assumption that people just want to sell thier stuff. I would try to buy at absurdly low prices and only want to go up by tiny increments... I'm pretty sure I usually got close to the cheapest price possible. On one ahnd, I felt I was "beating the system" on the other hand, I spent more time trying to save a few gil then I did playing the game... and ultimately lost interest altogether.

I think listing fees would just encourage more, and DEEPER, undercutting; "I don't want to re-list, or get charged again, so I'll drop the price as low as I can go in one step."

I think BUY orders would enable people to "just sell their stuff."
