This sounds like you're just really looking for an MMO version of those games. I am totally not in for mushing together 13 titles into one. Forget that!

Of besides the cities... Cid, Biggs and Wedge for example would be nice... they are part of every FF game. I haven't reached R50 yet but from what ive seen so far in the story.. there isnt any memorable NPC like the other FF games had.

Epcot Fantasy XIV.

Each Final Fantasy games' shine comes from the fact that they have their own worlds they live in, lore that won't swamp the new player in tons of previous games.

Throwing in such blatant references as the city names, races, and the iconic weaponry from other games would cheapen both game and franchise.

I like leaving the previous FF references at the world select screen.

And then, the usual staple FF things you see in game, like Chocobo, Bombs, spells, and stuff.

But I definitely don't want to roll up on Fabul and see a bunch of FFxxXXxYang FFXIV named people running around going ACHOOOOOOOOO! I AM PUGILIST! etc. etc.

It just wouldn't feel right, at all.
