To put it another way, if FFXI and FFXIV were cars, FFXI is a car that runs great and only needs to be washed every now and then, perhaps replacing an air filter or wiper blades in the process. It's easy to give frequent feedback on general maintenance and detailing. FFXIV, well that's more like a car that is having it's engine rebuilt. It takes a lot longer to accomplish that task, and the wiper blades that everyone is requesting, well they'll just have to consider that when the thing actually runs properly.

I love this analogy! The wipers are important and will be replaced, but there's no point in replacing the wipers until the damn thing runs
