The bonus for duty roulette is a thank you for helping new players. Don't go in expecting any roulette instance to be a speed run. First time I did cm/prae i skipped cs to not be a burden to the group. It is nowhere near the same watching those in an inn room.

Or you could wait like 1 min. When you enter a dungeon with someone new to it there is a large message on screen telling you that someone is new. They aren't there to get tomes, they're there to finish the story - you know the thing that the base-breaking series called Final Fantasy is known for?

I didn't wait to watch the CS's my first CM/Pre run. I didn't want to be 'that guy'. I didn't watch them till weeks later at the inn and I was floored at how long some of them are. Like obnoxiously long. Like giving Metal Gear Solid a run for its money in CS length long. To penalize everyone if even one person wants to watch during the run is just... really stupid.

I may have said before 'STFU let them watch' but I did not realize at the time how long these things were. I have since done a 180 on the subject.

And kind of on topic. FFS SE add an auto skip option!

You never -have- to grind either story dungeon, if you want tomes there are plenty of alternatives. If you roulette for that 200 bonus then you accept that you may be watching all the cutscenes (or waiting while others do), thats kinda the whole point of the system to get people who don't need the dungeon doing it to help those that do. Was it a bad decision by SE to make the dungeons how they are? Kinda, but its the case, you know its the case, deal with it or don't do them, its that simple.
