except for you know making FFXIV know for having one of the worst communities ever. i actually agree with rokien to a point give something for people on the same server as well as using duty finder.

Great it's a step forward, happy after 3 years they were able to do do something, even if it's a little, though, I'm still waiting on my flip flop.

I'll get right on that...when I muster the ability to care as deeply about comments and warped ideas about MMO "communities" as much as you do.

How can anyone say that ff 14 has the worst communities in an MMo ever when.. Wow Exists(and to a lesser extent eve but people go in there for the getting fucked over)

Lol. I thought lack of a Dungeon Finder tool in RIFT was great, that it would help to build a close community, until i tried to do a dungeon. On the server i had the best latency with when it came out, i did my FIRST dungeon at level 49, despite shouting and shouting (Had a macro i hit every few minutes into General Chat) all the way up through the levels. Never did the first dungeon until i made my fourth character.

The Duty Finder here is a great tool for those wanting to just play with people. I do dungeons a LOT, i level my alt jobs almost exclusively through them, now and in 2.0, and very very rarely came across a group with trolls in it. One time i can remember clearly/have screenshots of, is in AV, failed a few times on final boss, timer was close to done, people were swearing at each other, yet i managed to get them to work together for a kill. The kind of close warm cuddly server community you are imagining cannot and will not ever happen. You will get FC and LS segregation based on perceived skill and gear quality. Sure, people can be dicks sometimes in the DF. Those same people will be dicks on their own server too, presence of DF be damned.

I just started playing this game and I am not intending on joining a guild because by April I will be playing TESO. So for me the duty finder is a good thing as I don't have to make any lasting connections with players here within a guild structure. Yes I am also anti social.

I just can't afford to have subs for this game and TESO so I will have to pick one or the other.

Have you tried the beta? Things aren't looking too good so far. I hated it and I was really really hoping it would be amazing. Nothing about that game is ES except the races. God I hope they fix it by release.

1.0 had nobody playing.

Even when I played 1.0 I was able to get a group together within 1 hour(same time as duty finder). XI I could also get a group together in one hour(same time as duty finder).

Oh trust me, I could shout for Ifrit HM and get a party in 15 mins in 1.0. People didn't want to help random strangers with content, in 1.0, and just about any MMO in my limited mmo experience.

Also with DF, I get instant dungeons. If I don't, I'm checking the df status. If I had to wait an hour to even attempt to clear content I don't think I'd be playing as much as I do.
