Here is you answer... earn Myth Points, buy gear for other jobs. Put the gear in storage, if you level those jobs later on, take the items out of storage and use them.

Quit asking makers of the game to change a design, put in place to prevent abuse of the point system. It would open up opportunity for gil-farmers/powerlevel services to sell accounts/characters with pre-farmed pools of myth tomes. Or for someone to hoard points, and get it completely geared up instantly for jobs not even released yet (after which I'm sure said people would then complain about lack of stuff to do), and probably more negatives. Caps are in place to put speed bumps on the path to progression which in turns gives you a reason to log in and work toward things each week; This creates prolonged success for the company and game by way of subscriptions over time.

People who are constantly looking to circumvent these mechanisms hurt the game more than help, because when people rush content and stop playing after 3 months, and enough of that happens, and the company/game isn't making money you won't care when you move on to the next game in line for you to rush through, and those of us who love the game and would like to see it succeed get stuck with the results of your short sightedness.
