OMG equipment space

So here's the thing right, and i know a lot of people have the same issue. Its bag space with equipment. And with vanity coming out soon, its going to get a lot worse, because people are going to want to keep multiple sets to look different. I know that every item that is allowed to go into the armoire must be coded to do so, but a lot of the items are getting over looked. Like the Christmas snowman helm, Santa hat, new years even stuff. But that's an entirely different issue. Well here's my idea right, why not have it allow you to put normal items in there like say 15 of each set 15 helms, 15 chests, etc. But at a cost of 100gil to deposit, and 100gil to remove. Oh also for the love of god allow us to repair the items when we put them in with a auto repair feature.

I have 8 DoH sets, 3 DoL sets and 4 DoW/DoM sets currently in my inventory. Several event items here and there, but most of them sit in the wardrobe. Most of my Armory tabs are choke-full already, except for accessories.
If at some point in future I'll decide that I need another DoW/DoM class, I *will* run out of space. How do I "manage" that, Mr. Hard Concept?

Not doubting you, but how are your Armory tabs full? There's 8 DoH jobs, 9 DoW/DoM jobs and 3 DoL jobs. That's 20 jobs to gear for. That's 20 items in each armor slot (unless you have DL armor, which will make it even less since there's only 2 DoM DL sets AND the fact some of the items only take up 1 slot such as Cowls and Tank legs.) with 25 slots in your Armory chest. There should be plenty of space for all your classes to have 1 armor set each. Rings and such are different because most DoH are going to share a lot of accessories, so even more space there.

There's also the fact that you don't really need that much inventory space in this game. You should have plenty space to put items you've out-geared into your inventory.

Not disagreeing with you, though. I've almost got full DL on everything with a few ilvl90 for alt jobs right now and I'm halfway through buying all my crafting gear for when they're 50 too and I'm starting to see my armory filling up, but when I worked it out I had plenty of space for everything. Only time I'll run into an issue is when I get ilvl 90 and replace DL gear I don't want to destroy. However, when Vanity is out I'm going to have a crapload of ilvl80 gear along with all my event items I've put away too. I'll definitely run out of space at this point.

Not to mention the fact they'll release new classes, meaning the space becomes even more scarce. They're probably going to be more willing to put effort into making newer armor look good now that Vanity is coming, too. More willing to give out costumes during events and such.

If they're going to let us level every class/job on 1 character and switch at will, they need to give us the tools to do it. I probably won't touch Musketeer if I've nowhere to put their gear.

True, if u only consider jobs, however I for once do sometimes go back to the old class like marauder with dps stats (not tank stats) for the fun of it

I also use raid equipment, and dungeon equipment. Dungeon equipment is for materia spiritbonding purposes. Not even counting leveling phases where you can get tons of equipment and still keep old ones for future vanity slots.

This arsenal problem also goes along with number of sets we can have ^^ i reached 32 a long time ago, i d like more ... but the game does not let me have more. I don't see how it would be an impact to increase the size of the arsenal or character sets, except maybe change the inventory window, which i also would like to see, why can't we have an option showing all slots ^^ and not just 1,2,3 or 4

My issue is I never clean those damn tabs out... I've got like 5 different sets for 2 dol\doh classes and I only use 2...

They should add a way to increase bag space one day though. Just add an option to buy a backpack upgrade in stages or something. I've always been a propent of the crafting bags system. It gives you something to work for, and adds an additional crafting option to the game.

Level up ur DoH and DoL Equally so they all can use the same set of armor, 1 Set for DoH and 1 set for DoL

There are 8 DoH jobs, each with their own AF sets, and 3 Different DoL jobs again, each with their own AF sets, so when you are 50 in each, that's 11 different sets. There are 9 DoW/DoM each with their own sets, for a grand total of 20 different sets. You have 20 slots per gear in your armory, so there is no "and then some" extra space.

Seeing how the games allows you to have more than 20 saved gear sets on your list, 20 slots isn't enough as there are also PvP sets for each class, vanity sets, and spirit bonding sets.

Each page in your inventory, and in your armoury, *except* the Soul Crystal page, is a 5 by 5 grid. That is 25 slots.

20 jobs (9 combat, 8 crafting, 3 gathering), 25 slots to put them into = 5 extra slots.

If you want to save even more space, and material costs, use Patricians gear rather than the class-specific crafting gear. That will free up 7 slots, and bring the head, chest, hands, legs, feet slot use down more in line with belt, earring, necklace, and bracelet.
