After farming CT 30+ times I have to say, I'm sick of it.
I'm almost always the one to explain it because nobody else does. Even when you explain it you have people who don't read it, still don't understand it, or just aren't very good at this sort of content in general not cooperating and wiping everybody. It's tiring. Any content SE has implemented for more than 8man is nearly pointless. Behemoth/Odin are massive zergfests that aren't fun or difficult, and neither is CT. All of these could be made WAY more fun as either 4-8 man dungeons/primal fights (odin behemoth) or 8 man raid like Coils (for CT).
I'm not sure why you feel this. They probably held CT back because of an issue, either balance, exploit, or whatever, maybe just not done. It doesn't imply that the next part of Coil was supposed to be out and they just held it back, because i really doubt it was. Once we have a couple patches out, we should be able to see a pattern, how many dungeons, raids or whatever each patch.which means the new coil turns should have been out in December instead of CT.
I have yet to do either coil or CT, but i like the set up of CT better from what i've seen. Since i'm more off and on of a player, not always able to gear up quickly or easily, and being able to queue up solo without having to worry if i fit some arbitrary leaders list like coil. A part of me can understand the loot, but i can also see it relaxing as time goes on.
I hate CT as well, simply because my RNG luck is terrible. I just hope the next part of CT at 2.3 is not lower than coil 2.2. Every other patch we would be getting out of date "vanity/alt" content. If that was the case it would make more sense to get things back on schedule by releasing the next part of CT at 2.2. It would be ilvl 100, while the next coil part would be ilvl 110.
Well OP, I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum, where I actually kinda hate Coil because everything there feels so drawn out and boring once you know what to do, the further in it is it's mostly a gear check rather than a skill check, and the actual lockout system means I couldn't even re-run it with certain friends if I wanted to. Great stuff in a multiplayer game to make it so friends have trouble running with each other.
CT on the other hand can be a lot of fun. I regularly tank on it for people who are hunting for a specific piece of gear, even when I'm capped on mythstones because I simply enjoy it.
The only thing that bothers me are all the "hero" tanks who do silly stuff like trying to steal aggro on the skeletons or bosses because they seem to have something to prove, but that's not like that on every run.
I actually really enjoy CT, took a while to get the boots I wanted but it happened and the fights and music is nice too. The only thing I don't like is the fighting between players. I know when the whole group is going to fall apart and that's at the Bone Dragon (never mind getting tail swiped multiple times on the previous section).
It's mostly due to different opinions on how the group should tank the dragon, one way was to pull it back to the north and the other way is to tank it in the middle. North way is clearly much easier on everyone but sometimes the main tank feels like they should do it the "true way" and tank it in the middle (usually causes at least one wipe). Regardless if the method is successful or not the trolls pop out and basically ruin the run for everyone just from the argument on how to handle the one boss. Then everyone leaves and we all have to re-queue again.
I have to agree 100% with you, CT is a joke, and does not need a loot lockout at as, considering how inferior the gear is. Grinding isnt fun, when will SE figure this out? It just annoys players. At least make the myth more worth the time, it gives the same myth as friggin Haukke Manor, and i can finish that in 20-30 minutes without the headache...
What's annoying is the plethora of ilvl90 peeps "needing" on the gear and winning it for 'vanity' while the ilvl60 and 70 peeps get the shaft and must run it again and again and again
CT is the new CM to me. I dread the reset and having to go back in there and its such a nice relief when you get your item and you know you are out of hell for the rest of the week. For people saying its not a zergfest, you can literally afk on any job in there (obviously you wouldn't be MT if you are a tank) and everything will go just fine without you. You do not matter at all in there.
While I agree it's pretty easy, I still find CT to be one of the most fun dungeons in the game.
