As someone with all 9 combat classes at 50, I freaking love CT, you have no idea how much easier it makes collecting Philo stones. ._.

(Also, what is with all the hate-ons for people with i90 gear? The only time I ever see people actually bashing other players for their gear is when they're better equipped.)

I've only ran CT 3 times, my main is BLM but I've tanked it all, haven't been in there on a DPS. I had a team "Group A" thinking that since their tanks were in i90 they should be Main tank on bosses and such. Welll... lets just say that my Lala Warrrior in Full DL Armor and Accessories with Ifrits Axe tanked King Behemoth flawlessly, while we wiped twice on the first attempts with the i90 tanks. They didn't like that, started talking down to my group. It was ridiculous. None-the-less, I've enjoyed CT as a Tank, even helped me decide on Warrior being my Secondary Main. I at least try to get a good FC or LS group going before queuing, i think Solo Queueing in for it would probably make me punch someone. Keep at it, and just remember, get that one piece of loot you can use and you don't have to do it for a week

Yeah sorry, I will fight you tooth and nail to MT, and it ain't a gear thing.

I LOVE Crystal Tower. How is it a Zerg fest? People actually have to follow the mechanics on most fights or you'll wipe. Seriously, not one single boss/mini boss can simply be zerged. Also, you've gotten some bad groups. It happens in all content. If you don't like dealing with the occasional ahole, MMOs probably aren't for you. I think a lot of people's problems with CT is RNG. If you get your loot for the week early, it was a fun experience. If it's the Sunday before reset and you've failed to get loot after 5-10 attempts, you can't stand it because you feel as though you've wasted time. Well, honestly, since the loot in there isn't BIS anyway, I'd simply suggest doing it at your own pace. You said you wished it was like Coil? Well, treat it as such. Attempt it once per week. if you win a piece, great, if not, do other things until the following week. No one's is forcing you to do it over and over and over again.

Yes, I do. I think the 300 philo tome duty roulette went a lot further then CT. The high level duty roulette went a long way in helping max Myth. CT, is the worst way to grind philo, and gearing out even half those classes with 1 piece of ilv80 once a week is not helping you much.

I'm so glad you're the deciding authority on the worst way for me to grind and what does and doesn't help me. This makes my life so much less complicated.

I don't understand this new wave of forum whiners that blame every single thing on people with better gear than them.

Honestly, that's the only reason I'm doing it. To get vanity items. If something drops (like the Monk stuff) after I get the Warrior of light set, I'll greed on it in case everyone else passes. You can do Coil in a mixture of DL and myth, which is not difficult to get at all and doesn't require RNG. So, if anyone really HATES CT, like the OP seems to, then simply skip it.

I think CT is pretty fun. The only thing I don't like is all the wasted loot. Once I have my 1 item for the week and I'm myth capped I really have little desire to go back.

The loot lockouts don't bother me at all. I pick up one piece of gear a week and for the rest of my runs I get Philo and Myth. I run with friends and we chat while we do it. The fact that there is so much room for human error among 24 people makes the fight challenging.

In the end, it's fun, I hope they do more, I hope the challenges get harder ahead. The Lockout dosen't bother me because they provide other compensation for my time, and it breaks the monotony of running WP and Roulettes.

Because saying "I hate Crystal Tower" is constructive criticism? What it boils down to is that you've had a poor run with RNG and some bad luck with bad-attitude players. Again, this is an MMO. Things like that are going to happen in all content. There's nothing SE can do about those things. Sure, they could get rid of the lock out. In which case, you'd either still have poor luck with RNG or great luck and be done and complaining about "Need Moar CONTENT" insight of two weeks.
