Party Finder: I'm doing it wrong?

When I uncheck(aka un-highlight) a class that can join my party in the Party Finder, they are still able to join. For example, I unchecked Thaumaturge, Arcanist, Black Mage and Summoner in ALL the DPS spots left yet they were still joining.

Am I doing it wrong? Do I not understand how this works? Is there a glitch? Not sure what's up.

Yes, you're doing it terribly wrong.

they probably joined with the correct class and switched over while in the party. Similar to how you set an ilvl of 70 but people with ilvl of 60 can still join by having high level jewelry equipped and switch back.
